Mission impossible- OS evaluation

Mission Impossible

The opening scene starts with a low angle shot of Tom Cruise leaning above a person, in this shot the lighting is very bright in the background, however it suddenly changes to the title sequences where the motion of the picture movement is very fast with dim lighting and the words in white with a flash effect. A lot of cut shots take place from the title to the woman in the police office and the computers searching for a matched person or suspect. Quick close ups and extreme close ups are used during the build up of the opening title sequence. Customers worn are mainly casual suits from the main characters, apart from the Air hoist who wears a uniform. The facial expression is addition to the suspense building up in the opening scene and is also use to increase urgency. Setting at the very beginning is quite hard to identify but we understand he may be at the police station; another setting becomes clear when the character is on the plane listening to a message. Props used are like the many computers etc.

This constructs with the genre of this film because it has drama, a build up of suspense and expected action. This opening scene can very easily draw in the attention of the audience with the quickness off motion, different sounds and clips put in to it.
