These are the official age ratings for all films released in the UK. Every film made is submitted to the BBFC before it can be released. The film is watched all the way through by two examiners and it is given a rating by these examiners based on these criteria: Discrimination, Drugs, Horror, Language, Imitable behaviour, Nudity, Sex, Sexual violence and violence.
Based on the criteria for deciding the age rating for a film; our groups film would most likely be a 15. This is because it will contain horror for the whole duration as well as violence and gore. it will have infrequent strong language, normally this would mean it would be a 12 as the strong language is infrequent, however because of the other themes such as violence and gore it raises the age rating to 15. it is also possible it could be an 18, however it would not as there will not be any imitable violence and no drug use at all.
