Typical Thriller Synopses

In a thriller genre film there are many different types of elements to making the film very successful theses different elements are:

Suspense, tension, and raising stakes for the protagonist character. The pace of the short film in a thriller genre should build up through the whole film. Typically a lot of thrillers have a great sense of mystery.

  • The protagonist must be proactive and not reactive. They must make things happen during the film and also be straight into action with events happening around them.
  • Most of typical thrillers have good fiction, in these genre type films. the heroes in films such as this one learn through out the whole film and then have a dramatic change of event at the end of the novel. This is character growth is what leads the main character to giving him the dramatic change so that the character becomes more proactive.
  • A typical part in a thriller synopses is the massive turning point that takes place, for example Dark knight rises; directed by Christopher Nolan has the turning point right at the start of the film which builds up the tension right at the beginning of the film.
